These Website Terms govern your use of this website. They are not the limited-scope engagement agreement for a contract review. If we accept your matter, the engagement terms you accept at checkout control that representation. In these terms, “you” means you as a client, prospective client, or visitor to this website.
Get Contract Confidence is the solo law practice of Courtney Newton, an Alabama-licensed attorney, with an office in Fairfield, Alabama. Courtney is responsible for the content of this website.
Content on this website is general information about flat-fee contract review for Alabama nonprofits and startups. It is not legal advice for your specific situation. Contract outcomes depend on the facts, language, parties, and applicable law. Past experience and general information do not guarantee any particular result.
Using this site, submitting a form, emailing us, or starting intake does not by itself make you a client. An attorney-client relationship begins only after we complete our conflict check, you accept the engagement terms, and we accept the matter as described on the site and in those terms.
Do not email your contract or put confidential terms, dollar amounts, or sensitive facts in the general contact form or early intake fields. After we clear conflicts and you accept engagement terms, we will provide the upload path for your contract.
We review contracts for Alabama-based organizations. If your contract is governed by another state’s law, we will tell you whether we can help before you pay. Matters involving litigation, criminal law, pending disputes, negotiation on your behalf, or ongoing general representation are outside this limited service unless we agree separately in writing.
Posted package prices, page tiers, rush pricing (+50% of the total fee, including any page-tier charge), and turnaround descriptions on the site are offers we intend to honor. Turnaround of 48 business hours (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays) starts only after intake, conflict clearance, engagement-term acceptance, payment, and complete contract upload are all done. If the last step occurs after 7:00 p.m. Central Time, the clock starts the next business day. Rush is subject to availability and is confirmed when the matter is accepted.
Paying does not guarantee we can take your matter. If we cannot take it—because of a conflict, the type of matter, jurisdiction, or another professional-responsibility concern—we will tell you promptly and refund you in full if you have paid. Other refund and cancellation rules are stated on How It Works and in the engagement terms at checkout. Those engagement terms control if there is any difference.
When we accept a matter, the representation is limited to the package you purchase for the single contract you submit (risk summary, and redlines if purchased). Negotiating for you, multiple revision rounds, or other work requires a separate agreement.
Site text, branding, and layout are owned by Get Contract Confidence or used with permission. You may not copy or reuse site content for commercial purposes without prior written consent, except for ordinary personal use of publicly available pages.
Intake, payment, hosting, or upload may use third-party providers. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We are not responsible for websites we link to for convenience.
The site is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent allowed by Alabama law, we disclaim implied warranties related to your use of the website (this does not limit duties we owe you as a client under an accepted engagement).
To the fullest extent allowed by Alabama law, Get Contract Confidence and Courtney Newton are not liable for damages arising only from your use of, or inability to use, this website or its public forms. This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited under Alabama law, and it does not change duties owed under an accepted attorney-client engagement.
These Website Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Jefferson County, Alabama may hear disputes about these Website Terms, except where a different forum applies under an engagement agreement or mandatory law.
We may update these Website Terms by posting a revised version on this page. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
