This Privacy Policy explains what information Get Contract Confidence collects through this website and its intake, checkout, and upload process, how that information is used and protected, and the choices available to you. In this policy, “you” means you as a client, prospective client, or visitor to this website.

Get Contract Confidence is the solo law practice of Courtney Newton, an Alabama-licensed attorney. Courtney personally performs every review. This site is operated for that practice.

• Intake answers needed to clear conflicts and decide whether we can take the matter (party names and related names; a short description of what you want to understand about the contract)
• Package choice, page count / page tier, and rush preference
• Payment information, processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers on our servers)
• Contract files and related documents you upload after we clear conflicts and you accept engagement terms
• Messages you send to info@getcontractconfidence.com or through the contact form

Information collected automatically

• Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate time of visit
• Cookies or similar tools needed for the site to work (for example, form or session cookies). We do not use advertising trackers or analytics tools.

Please do not send confidential contract terms, dollar amounts, or sensitive facts through the general contact form or in early intake. Use the upload step only after conflicts are cleared and engagement terms are accepted.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Respond to inquiries and operate the website
• Run conflict checks and decide whether we can accept a matter
• Provide limited-scope contract review and related client communications
• Process payment, refunds, and accounting
• Meet professional, ethical, and legal obligations (including recordkeeping)
• Improve the site and our process (in aggregated or de-identified form when practical)

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal services and confidentiality

Submitting a form or using this website does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. We accept a matter only after the conflict check, engagement terms, and acceptance steps are complete.

Once you are a client, information related to your representation is handled under the Alabama Rules of Professional Conduct and applicable law, including duties of confidentiality. Website visitors who are not clients are not owed the same attorney-client confidentiality for information they submit through public forms; still, we treat that information carefully and use it only as described here.

5. Sharing information

We may share information with:

• Service providers who help run the site, intake, payment, email, hosting, or secure document storage, under obligations to protect the information
• Professional advisors (for example, accountants) when needed to operate the practice
• Authorities when required by law, court order, or professional duty
• Another lawyer or vendor only with your direction, or as needed to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the practice

We do not share client matter information for marketing.

6. Payment processing

Checkout is handled by Stripe. Card data is collected and processed by Stripe under its terms and privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment, limited billing details, and refund status—not your full card number.

7. Retention

• Inquiry and intake records for matters we decline: kept as needed for conflict checking and professional obligations, then deleted or archived under our retention schedule
• Client files: retained after the matter closes for as long as required by law and professional rules, then securely destroyed
• Website logs: retained for a limited period needed for security and operations

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small law practice, including access controls and encrypted transmission where our tools provide it for intake, checkout, and upload. Contract files you upload are also stored in encrypted form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Your choices

You may email info@getcontractconfidence.com to ask what personal information we hold about you as a website visitor, to correct inaccurate contact details, or to request deletion where we are not required to keep the records. We may need to retain information for conflicts, ethics, tax, or legal reasons even if you ask us to delete it.

10. Children

This site is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you have seen the revised policy.
